Castles, Churches and Chapels

Wales is renowned for the number, and excellence, of its castles but these stunning structures are not the only sign of Wales' rich heritage. There are also plentiful examples of ancient churches and chapels waiting to be discovered and appreciated

And you don't need to go far to find a superb example. Many of these ancient buildings are located along the Path and can be explored on walks that stretch the imagination as well as the legs.

Natural Resources Wales and Visit Wales have been working with our partners to make sure that wherever you are visiting in Wales, you can sample some of Wales' finest historical Castles, Churches and Chapels routes.

These routes can be found across various regions and on several sections of the Path.
